What is an IPS tag?

An IPS tag is the label that applies to any registrar that registers .UK domains. While there’s no Auth/EPP code for these domains, an IPS tag change is required to transfer .UK domain names from one registrar to another.

If you would like to transfer a .UK domain to Red Fifteen Media, you must request that your current registrar change the IPS tag to ENOM before placing the transfer request.

If you wish to transfer a .UK domain from Red Fifteen Media, you must change the IPS tag to the one held by the new registrar by following these steps:

  • Sign in to your Red Fifteen Media account.
  • Go to Domains in the main menu.
  • Click Transfer Domains to Us.
  • Complete the form and click Add to cart.

Please allow 24-48 hours for the changes to take effect.

Alternatively, feel free to contact our support team with a request to change the IPS tag. We will be able to do it for you almost instantly.

Note: If you are not sure about your IPS tag, you can find more information at http://www.nominet.uk/registrar-list/ or contact your new registrar.
